«Αγγλικο συγκροτημα ηλεκτρονικης μουσικης που δημιουργηθηκε το 1980 στο Εssex.Η αρχικη συνθεση ηταν;Dave Gahan(φωνητικα),Martin Gore(πληκτρα,κιθαρα,φωνητικα και στιχουργικη),Andy Fletcher(πληκτρα)και Vince Clarke(πληκτρα και στιχουργικη).O Clarke εγκατελειψε το συγκροτημα μολις βγηκε ο πρωτος δισκος το 1981 και αντικατασταθηκε απο τον AlanWilder(πληκτρα,ντραμς).Ο Wilder εγκατελειψε το 1995 και εμειναν ο Gahan,o Gorek,o Fletcher ως τριο μεχρι σημερα.Εχουν πουλησει πανω απο 100 εκατομμυρια αλμπουμs και singles παγκοσμιως πραγμα που τους κανει το πιο πετυχημενο συγκροτημα ηλεκτρονικης μουσικης στον κοσμο.Με το νεο τους κομματι "heaven"που κυκλοφορησαν 31/1/2013 σαν single,απεδειξαν οτι μπορουν να επιστρεψουν στον παλιο καλο ηχο που τους εφερε στην κορυφη.Το Delta Machine ηχογραφηθηκε απο το 2012 και πρωτοπαρουσιαστηκε στις ΗΠΑ στις 5/2/2013.Η επισημη παρουσιαση εγινε στις 24/3/2013 στο ιστορικο Museum Cartier της Βιεννης,ενα απο τα μεγαλυτερα πολιτιστικα κεντρα του κοσμου.Θα ξεκινησουν μεγαλη περιοδεια στις 7/5/2013 για να διαφημισουν το αλμπουμ αυτο και η Αθηνα περιλαμβανεται στις πολεις που θα επισκεφτουν.»
